TalkTalk offer a deal without the annual increases, but you have to agree to a higher monthly rate at the start of things.

You would not have liked being online in 1995. £10/mo for the ISP account, plus local call costs while you were online (no possibility of "inclusive" local calls then), and you only got 0.03Mb download speeds.LeesArt said:
I heard products advertised at £29.99 to £32.99 and they were both 24 month contracts, so £720 "expected" for the 24 months but in reality a lot more.
So from the end of March 2023 you could be paying £35.67 and then from March 2024 £42.42
I'm paying £45/mo for broadband these days (no inflation increases baked in) and it feels like an absolute bargain.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230 -
TalkTalk refer to these contracts as Fixed Price Plus. I renewed to a 24 month contract for Fibre 150 three months ago on this basis, and my contract works out at a monthly equivalent of £15.50 per month after bill credits.jbuchanangb said:TalkTalk offer a deal without the annual increases, but you have to agree to a higher monthly rate at the start of things.
We were offered either an 18 or 24 month contract on Fixed Price Plus. We opted for 24 months in light of rampant inflation and for some degree of certainty.
Before anyone starts bashing TalkTalk, I've not any more issues with them than any other ISP (primarily minor billing issues, all easily resolved). We get a solid 152Mbps down and 31.3Mbps up with a ping of 6ms. I use my own Mesh System (left their free eero in the box) and have no blackspots. My farts hospitalize small children
