Need advice on garden lounger.
Options
Hi guys,
Im in the market for a garden lounger. I dont know anything about garden furniture because Ive never had a garden before now!
I think what I need is something light and something that can be folded away (I dont have much storage space!). Ive had a look online but they all seem really expensive! (£100+). I dont need anything fancy, just something thats comfortable to lie/sit on, thats going to lasts for more than a couple of years, and doesnt take up much storage space.
Any advice/guidance gratefully received!
Thanks

I would have a look on Argos for "Sun Loungers". There are a few with very good reviews, e.g. https://www.argos.co.uk/product/2722489The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.1

Get yourself to B&Q, Home Base, John Lewis, your local garden centre etc etc and try some out, most will be on display, you can see how heavy they are, and how they fold up, ask an assistant (if you can find one to help you, if you need help)Buy a new one in a box, not a display model.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

I would buy one that can be left outside, just bring the cushion inside.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Competition Time, Site Feedback and Marriage, Relationships and Families boards. Look for the ones sold by Aldi / Lidl they are usually quite sturdy and relatively inexpensive.
Or ask for one on Freegle or look on Gumtree for second hand.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I have and like this style https://www.argos.co.uk/product/4337542?clickPR=plp:8:57 they are surprisingly comfortable, I can easily spend a whole day lounging on mine while reading and I have a spinal injury that gets worse if I sit in bad positions but these offer just the right level of support. They are also very lightweight and can be folded away to go in the shed over winter and water resistant enough to be left out over spring and summer when we have less rain.1

if you are intending to leave it outside, in all wheathers, then go for a good strong one made of brazilian hard wood, rather than aluminium or steel, which will just corrode or go rusty. the rivets fall out of the joints and all u got after a few years is scrap metal.
the hard wood ones just need a coat of ron seal once a year. we have outdoor table and chairs made of it, and honestly its as hard as nails.1 -
Thanks all - very useful. This give me a good spring board to investigate further.0
