Is the Oxbury rate 5.53% being held for present account holders?

@Burcot, if you already have the 5.53% 120 day notice account then yes it is still the same, no notification of a reduction yet. The rate is now 5.21% if existing customers apply now, or they have a 90 day notice account at 5.28%

Last week's Oxbury notice accounts have disappeared today. They currently have no notice accounts. I had a tab open this morning for the 90 day notice but was too slow applying!

I have a question about serving and cancelling notice on Oxbury and Investec accounts.

I see on their FAQ that Oxbury they say you can serve notice via an online banking menu option. How easy is it to cancel notice, is it a messaging process or is there a similar menu option?

I see on Investec product page, they say you can cancel a withdrawal up until 8pm the night before, so I assume this means it's definitely menu-driven as opposed to chat or messaging.

I can confirm that for United Trust Bank giving and receiving notice is entirely messaging driven.

Re Oxbury. I have done it via online chat. There isn't a menu option.

I've got a 95 day account with RCI Bank. One of the thinks I like about it is that it's easy to give notice and its easy to cancel it too. I've been in the habit of giving notice, just on the off chance I might need the money, and then cancelling it later if I don't.

Yes, still the same for both, 90-days and 120-days.

Yes, I was doing the same with RCI and Mansfield 90-days tracker and continuing the same strategy with Oxbury. It's a same that Oxbury doesn't have an online canceling facility.

Received a letter today from Dudley Building Society informing me that the interest rate on their 60 Day Notice Online account is decreasing from 5.40% to 4.35%.
This change takes effect from 3rd May 2024. There are no penalties for any withdrawals within 30 days of the date of the letter (the 17th April).

I had already given notice on an amount that I withdrew today, so will be closing the account entirely now.
Moving my money to my Oxbury 90 day notice account at 5.51%. Just hope this doesn't start dropping now too.
