I usually just leave £1 in an account for a while when I move my money. That way I always have the option of putting money back in if I want to in the future. If they don’t have a “Close the account” option on their website and I really wanted to close it then I’d just send them an email requesting they close it.1

Wooh! 😊 I have managed to access Oxbury via my iPad AND open a new account with the 3.8%. Also I’ve set up notice on my first Oxbury account. All without much hassle. So I’m going to take back my earlier moans about finding their systems awkward. I think you just have to persevere.0

so I had a chat with Oxbury yesterday and whilst they said there were no plans to increase the rate on Issue 1, that I could open an Issue 4 account and ask them to transfer the balance today from Issue 1 to 4 (with no 90-day notice required) by email.I opened the account on the site (simple) and then emailed them at 4:42pm - by 5:05pm, I received 4 emails (3 auto, 1 manual), telling me that Issue 1 had been closed; balance transfer requested; deposit (balance + interest) made and the fourth just confirming that all the above had been done... so i've now got my 3.80% account without the hassle of waiting 90 days.jimexbox said:SuzzleBumpkin said:Wooh! 😊 I have managed to access Oxbury via my iPad AND open a new account with the 3.8%. Thanks for that! I think I’ll transfer the balance from my old account then! 👍0

New 90 day notice ac @3.85%. Ive never heard of streambank but I’ve checked them on the FCA register. Fairly new, registered last year. I’ve opened an account. My only problem is there was no option to have interest paid into my nominated ac which is a pain, but hey ho!1

Oaknorth have increased the rate on their 120 day notice account to 3.93% (AER) - this doesn't appear to have been picked up by the comparison sites yet (at the time of posting this)...
