Oaknorth 90 day notice opened and starting to transfer funds.
Is there a secure message option in the app? I can only see call/email. Thanks0 -
I’ve only ever emailed (without giving any account info) from my registered address and they have dealt with any queries - and responded almost immediately during the working dayjimexbox said:Oaknorth 90 day notice opened and starting to transfer funds.

I'm just thinking ahead for removing funds, closing account or moving to a newer 90 notice account.0 -
You can withdraw funds from within the app, but to close (which is what I wanted) I had to email them. They sorted it almost instantly and cancelled my withdrawal notice and instead told me it will be closed on the date I chose (still a while to wait until 31 October) as apparently different to a standard withdrawal.

If you really want to close the account properly, then email them to give notice to close it rather than giving notice on the amount currently in there, as you'll simply get your deposit(s) back and the interest will added to the account and therefore locked for at least another 90 days.jimexbox said:Thanks

Thanks Expotter. (Ceramic or snooker?)
Great info. and much appreciated.1 -
If you give notice on all your funds in the oaknorth 90 day account, is any accrued interest over the 90 day notice period also included?0
-
No, hence my reply above. If you apply to withdraw a specific amount via online banking or the app, the amount it earns in interest during that time won't be included and will therefore be subject to a further notice period... and so on and so on !jimexbox said:If you give notice on all your funds in the oaknorth 90 day account, is any accrued interest over the 90 day notice period also included?
Therefore if you want to withdraw the whole lot (including interest), you need to email them and request that the account is closed.

Just for debate: 0.2% premium atm for no access in 90 days doesn't seem a great offer, when supposedly
it's the best notice rate available & the potential for base rates to increase in the period?0 -
I'm not eligible for the 12 month loyalty account and the rainy day is limited to 5k. You can move to another 90 day Northwood issue if they bring a better rate out. You don't need to wait 90 days.soulsaver said:Just for debate: 0.2% premium atm for no access in 90 days doesn't seem a great offer, when supposedly
