Our flight was supposed to depart from Athens at 12:00 and arrive at London Gatwick Airport at 14:00, but it was cancelled and we arrived at our destination by 4 or more hours later.
The cancellation email was sent 10.56 UK time (12.56 Greek time) on the 31 May 2020.
As the flight was due to take off at 10.00 UK time (12.00 Greek time),we consider the amount of notice of cancellation was 13 days 23 hours 04 minutes i.e less than the required 14 days in order to avoid paying compensation.
Easy Jet disagree and argue they gave 14 days notice.
So does the 14 days count from the hour and minute on the day it was given ?

Sorry not clear on exactly what happened - You said it was cancelled but you arrived more than 4 hours late . Which was it ? cancelled ? Rescheduled ? or delayed ?0

Sorry having read what you wrote a few times I have no idea what the sequence of events is here.0

I cannot see anything in the regulations that state 14 days is measured as 14 x 24 hours
14 days notice before 14th June would be 31st May0 -

Is the year (2020) a typo or are you revisiting an old problem?0 -
Since there's only one reference to delay but four to cancellation, I think it's safe to assume that the post does relate to a cancelled flight and the passing mention of the four hour delayed arrival is essentially extraneous information that can be ignored for the purposes of the question....0
