Not a lot of flying done today. I'm feeling rotten with this cold and chest infection. Hello,
Thank you for the lists x Just lost a post. Grrrrrr. Will try to recreate in brief…
Minimal flying, apart from essential dailies.
DD dropped back at uni city by DH, for a couple of days at the new-to-them house.
Wfh tomorrow, which takes out my major flying day of the week. I will do my best in between being glued to the laptop.
Jaffa cakes in the WAC because everyone deserves a treat every now and then. Sweet dreams to all for tonight xx6 -
Well I'm in the very unusual position of both the house and the garden being relatively up to date - although the latter needs daily attention of course - following our visitors last week then friends to tea this afternoon.
- bit peeved when I got on the scales first thing and my weight was the same as last week's, but I'd missed 2 exercise sessions and eaten more owing to the visitors (blame them). However I managed a 6km run, went to the loo and re-weighed and had lost 1lb. Yes I know it's clutching at straws....Well done Kaz you are doing brilliantly.
- walked up to village shop to buy very expensive Greek yogurt and plain flour which I needed for the teatime goodies. I got the (wheat) flour as my gf is so expensive plus it doesn't make pastry well; however our village shop is so expensive it probably matched. Met our local village hero who is still driving out supplies to Ukraine. We'd all contributed to vehicles to help him and already one got blown up; fortunately no people in it at the time.
- cooked a Virgin Mary tomato tart thing (Mr T magazine), a pink grapefruit & caraway seed loaf cake (Mr T magazine) and some Australian biscuits. Teatime visitors were impressed. My tastebuds were impressed but as between them they were about a day's calories ........
- filled bird feeders
- ploughed through a few bits of admin
and to give you all a laugh, here are Mr N and I enjoying the slide into the 'Superbloom' wildflowers in the Tower of London moat last week, fantastic flowers. There were a few kids enjoying the slide but even more adults......:
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.11 -
Morning all
Fab picture, Narc0!
I have made a list of things that I have to do today in between wfh - number crunching to catch up, so not answerable to phone or email, which is hopefully going to help my sanity and stress levels if nothing else.
The wm is twirling, first of the planned 3. Bedding changed and queuing for its turn.
DH gone to work, not expected back until late.
I need to try to bag a convenient Mr M slot for next week, hopefully then the first load of washing is ready to hang out, then I’ll fire up the laptop.
Have a good day all x8 -
Squeak sorted at school again.. toilet pass, drama concessions and a notepad so she can ask to be allowed to go to another room if a lesson becomes overwhelming. If these are 'teething problems' we are looking at a lot of teeth!!
Cuppa slurped.
Off to sort a parcel and post it and I have 4 prescriptions to collect from B00ts.. me, DS1, meem and Boog.Washing to go outwashing to go iDW to go onGlorious down here right now, we have some guttersnipes screaming abscenities at one another in the street.. if they don't shut up sharpish I will be calling the fuzz to come deal with them.. honestly, some people have no dignity!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)7 -
Great photo, Narc0!
I had a lovely chat with DS1 as he was on his way to work this morning - his new handsfree gadget is a great investment.
I had been woken up at 4.00 by a car alarm screeching for 10 minutes. The morning went further downhill as I attempted to sort out the paperwork for tonight's meeting. I am worn out now but still have another paper to prepare for tonight.
Also....
Kitchen had a swift S&S after breakfast, DW was started and bins emptied
I have found a sports bag which will hold DH's long grabber, foot lifter, shoe horn, etc when he goes to the horse piddle. His DSis has sent him more soap, more shower gel and even more socks!!!
WMx1 is twirling.
Lunch (lemon chicken soup) is cooking.
On an ordinary day that little lot would be OK. Today it is a miracle.
xx9 -
Iona - don’t be hard on yourself xx. That is a lot by anyone’s standards. Especially mine.
Window cleaner has been. Hurrah, but just how dirty do the insides look now?! Binmen also been. And it’s sports day at the village school, judging by the enthusiastic cheering. Oh to be 7 years old and able to run / skip / juggle an egg.
Wm x 3 out on the line. Mr M slot bagged for next week. Downstairs given a cursory dust. One chunk of work nearly ticked off.9 -
