September Sun...

Looking to get away for 7 days from the 23rd September. Latest I can leave is 25th so only a few days to play with. Just for myself.
Ideally leaving from Edinburgh.
A quick look shows gran canaria fir £800 odds.
Is this the average cost ? I remember years gone by where you could get away fir 4/500.
Would consider anywhere with a beach and decent temperatures.
Any suggestions ?

Thanks for reading.

If you want cheap then look to Eastern Europe, Turkey or Bulgaria. Northern Cyprus could also be a good shout.

Depends on what you want, all inclusive will be more than self catering but then you have to buy food and drink etc.
What is your budget ? as others have said look all over but there are a lot less holidays available this year due to demand.

Budget would be 750 and I'm hoping for that it would be all inclusive although for that price I may be way off.

I haven't looked at any prices but Turkey is comparatively good value, has good beaches and I reckon the weather should be good at that time of the year.

Have you trawled around the internet for deals ?
TUI and Jet2 would be my initial search.

Yeah had a look. I think given the climate just now and the dates I'm available, I'm gonna have to spend a bit more. Only ever done gran can so will probably look there again.

I had a look through Holiday Hypermarket which is a TUI run site but offers other operators - a few Spanish mainland + Balearics  deals AI around your target price - mind you need to add Tourist Tax for the latter, but it's not a huge amount per head.
Flying from GLA - but I reckon you'd settle for a weegie deal if the price etc. is acceptable !!!
Also a couple or so offers from EDI at your target price - Greece.
    Good luck

Quite a few to the Greek islands for around £350-400pp, they should be nice at that time of year we went end Sept a couple of years ago. Though a lot cheaper then, £150pp!

I wouldn't do All Inclusive in the Canaries unless you are talking top end 5*. Eating out is relatively affordable and gives you more choice and variety

If you do want to go cheap AI then Turkey is usually decent value.

Anywhere in Southern Europe should still be warm at the end of September.
