Landscaper fly-tipped my garden waste in the back lane.

My post is clearly a heads up. Forget the "caravan site" as you put it, check their registration for waste disposal is what I'm clearly saying. If you or anyone does not check the waste outfits details and the rubbish is found where its not supposed to be - the householder will get fined rightly so.Ath_Wat said:

check their waste credentials, no ifs, no buts otherwise you got done.Ath_Wat said:
You can often tell that someone only has an address on a caravan park. I won't say how, in case people think I am being offensive.lisyloo said:
Indeed. However they don’t advertise the fact so this needs proactive checking and these things are all very good in hindsight, but it’s a good point.Ath_Wat said:One moral of the story is don't, ever, employ anyone who doesn't have what looks like a permanent address. Not on "a caravan park".
I hope this above helps you and anyone else reading this thread, always check the credentials of any waste outfit.0 -
The pub I used to visit had a little clear-out. They put the odds and ends outside the pub on the pavement. A guy walked in and asked the pub owner "you want the rubbish removed, govnor." The governor said yes. The bloke asked for a tenner, sounded tempting, had a pint and got his tenner and out went the bloke.CJRyder said:Sadly the only way that I think that I could get him is in a sting operation. However I don't have the resources to pull something like that off effectively. It just infuriates me that I can't do anything.
The pub owner went outside that evening and guess what, the rubbish was still there.

Move the waste to your front garden, the put a big sign up saying "waste left behind from garden renovation by <name> despite his quote including waste removal.
Take a photo then upload it to social media sites with a link to any profile he has. Also state that you will remove the post once he has correctly disposed of the waste.
(and just to be sure, I would put a piece of paper with HIS name on hidden in the waste, so if he does fly tip it, then it will lead back to him!)Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)1 -
If you create another account on the same site (or get someone else to) and ask him about a job you could maybe get an address off him that way.0

I don't need help, thanks, I have not hired any dodgy waste disposal guys.diystarter7 said:

What an astounding story. After hearing that I, for one, will be more cautious about giving money to random people on the street to do a job and not making any effort to ensure they carry the job through.diystarter7 said:

I wouldn't have believed such things could happen.5 -

Thanks for the registration database! That's a great help and something that should be more widely published.Mortgage free by 33 - (21/07/22 - 32 years and a bit...)
Most DIY problems can be solved by a combination of spanner, pliers, screwdriver, Allan key and a blade. (Hold it, twist it, cut it!) Very occasionally industrial language, a hammer and an adhesive may need to be added to the mix. (Curse it, hit it, patch it!)0 -
Seriously, the guy probably uses a different name every job.pinkshoes said:Move the waste to your front garden, the put a big sign up saying "waste left behind from garden renovation by <name> despite his quote including waste removal.

there isn’t much point in mentioning it if you are going to keep it a secret.1
