Looking at changing broadband supplier, but for some reason and apart from virgin the broadband websites are stating that my landline number is not connected to my house?

So therefore it also says that super fibre or whatever they call it, is not available in my area yet and then puts me on to broadband supplier’s highest packages.

Im retired now and used to do all my switching at work and had no problems like this.

Any idea’s?

Who are you with at the moment, sounds like it's Virgin Media?

If FTTP is not available in your area then you're going to have to choose an ISP and speak to them to get your BT line provisioned again.

Worth putting your details into the BT wholesale checker tool to see what exactly is available to you at your address - https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome

Hi,  I’m with Vodafone. I have tried the BT checker and there is no problem with that.

What service are you currently on at Vodafone?

Can you show us the results of the BT checker please?

Apologies, I’m kind of struggling in accessing my Vodafone account, I made the big mistake of changing my mobile phone supplier and now lost my old number and at the moment cannot get phone verification.
Have tried to do screen shot of BT checker, but not working for me at the moment.
It would be a decent broadband speed from Vodafone.

Are you on a full fibre (FTTP) service at the moment? Is your router plugged into the phone's master socket or does it use a separate box on the wall, known as an ONT?

Ok, so we've established that it's a FTTC service. So if full fibre isn't in your area yet (the BT checker should say so) then there shouldn't be a reason, other than lack of available slots, than you should be able to move to another FTTC provider.

Try putting your details in the Now Broadband page (just as an example) to see what it comes back with (use Super Fibre or Fab Fibre) - https://www.nowtv.com/broadband#ib-section-section-3
