More security teasers for those smarter than me:- What date did you open your account?
- Do you have a loan? What is the monthly repayment?
Alternatively, just register your voice with Santander and you won't get asked any of these awkward questions. You don't need to check with experian the one with Credit Karma will do this and you get a weekly update for free unlike Experian where its only free for 30 days. All CRA's report when an account is opened, here's one from my Credit Karma just to prove it for you!!Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:2 -

And as I said twice already, if you don't want to be asked those awkward Qs by Santander, simply register your voice with them.0 -

- Yes, right oh! and where does it tell me what my loan repayment dates & monthly repayments are?
- I have no need or desire to check my credit score.

The answers do not have to be precise . I could answer the questions off the top of my head - to the nearest thousand, standing order today to my council of approx £xxx. etcNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

Looking at your credit files is about far more than checking the largely meaningless credit score. Go on, give yourself a nudge and have a look at all three. It is your right to know what data is recorded about you, and which can be shared with a number of companies, not only banks. Knowledge is power, as they say.- I have no need or desire to check my credit score.

As I commented earlier: Had a hacker obtained all my personal information, sort code, account number, unique customer number, passwords, cloned my PC and IP address to commit fraud, then stolen my mobile to phone Santander he/she would also know the answers to those questions.

25 minutes waiting time to speak to them yesterday on a premium rate number. Thankfully a UK based call centre in Belfast, but it was to change the phone number that OTPs are being sent to, and I had already done this twice in app, in numerous locations and it "hadn't taken". They could even see I'd tried and that the number had then reverted. I am not altogether confident it will not happen again. Santander certainly gives me the impression that they have a wide variety of bits of kit that are held together with gaffa tape and good will.2

I try to limit how many of these sites I register with. Who knows what Experian, Credit Karma, Google, Facebook, Microsoft and even MSE does with the data you provide on registration?"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
