CPS Midlands - Back with Letter of Claim for a PCN issued in Sep 2015

Hey Folks
We heard back from CPS after a gap of many years and now a letter through the post 'Letter of Claim' for a PCN issued in Sep 2015.
We will proceed with asking for SAR and letting the solicitor know to put the case on hold for no less than 30 days as per the advise here in newbies thread 2.
Is there anything else we need to bear in mind considering the long gap we have had?

'Letter of Claim' for a PCN issued in Sep 2015.Can you double check and confirm that is the date of the PCN. Who has actually sent the LoC?Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

It is statute barred.
This means if the alleged event occurred in Scotland, the alleged debt no longer exists after 5 years.
If the alleged event occurred in England and Wales, then the alleged debt can still exist, but the Limitations Act prevents the claimant from progressing a claim through the courts after 6 years.
Never mind all the other stuff, just tell them they are too late too begin a claim in any nation within the UK.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks2 -
You send them a robust response telling them to get on with issuing a court claim. The CCBC should weed it out, but if they don't, there's some fun to be had with CPS Midlands. Their greed is running ahead of their brains/understanding of the legal system! Not the sharpest PPC in the country by the look of things. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. Thank you! The alleged event happened in England. It states on the letter do not contact CPS Midlands.0

In a word, no, there are no templates. Put what you have just said above, and add that it is statute barred by the Limitations Act. You therefore require them to erase all your personal data that they hold on you.
You should copy in the DPO of the PPC.
As a back up, I suggest you write a letter to the PPC, sent first class from a Post Office counter, and obtain the free all important proof of sending.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks2 -

Can you show us a photo of this rogue demand, please? Cover your ID but leave all dates showing and who has sent it.
What would be useful evidence for the Government and the ICO would be to phone them and record them lying that they can proceed to court, and put it on Youtube and link the recorded call here.
Are you up for that?
