I have some US$ travellers cheques bought via NatWest in the 1980s.  The cheque reference numbers are no longer in the bank/bureau de change systems. How/where do I cash them in? I am quite willing to accept US $ bills.

Who is the issuer of the travellers cheques? Is it actually NatWest, or are they another provider that happened to be purchased at NatWest? I would say only the cheque issuer would be able to help, if they'd be willing to do so.0

If they have Americal Express on them this may help https://www.americanexpress.com/uk/travel/travellers-cheques/ Eurochange were also accepting them quite recently. I cashed in a couple of hundred dollars with them.
