Empty plastic bread bags will fit most bathroom waste bins

I use the thin little bags that most supermarkets still use for loose fruit and veg or, when receiving an online grocery shop, used to separate fresh meat and fish. They're a great size for my little bathroom bin and sturdy enough to cope with the waste the bin is used for.0

Our bread bags get used as liners for our kitchen food waste bins...actively encouraged by our Local Authority. I have no idea how they separate them from the food waste, but they seem to be happy with it.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3661

Thanks for the tip.
They're also useful for poo bags when out walking the dog. Also use any plastic bags used for vegetables and fruit in supermarkets.
Very little goes to waste!0 -
My mother lives alone and has problems getting through a loaf of bread before it gets mouldy, so she keeps a bag from the loaf before and freezes half. They are a handy size for freezing home made rolls, cakes etc. They do sometimes have little holes in as I found when I used one as a poo-bag for my neighbour's monstrously defecating doberman, so not great for long term freezer use.2

I use them for dirty nappies.0
