Still haven't got to the bottom of the John Lewis issue BUT I have managed to order a Moto G62 in 'frosted blue' directly from Moto. It's back in stock now.

How exciting, let us know how you like it when it arrives. I might just wait a while longer and hopefully it will land in Argos or John Lewis before too long.1

Motorola said the order would take about a week to arrive but it 's already here. Just two days.
I've set it up, transferred all data+apps wirelessly and re-registered those apps which needed it. A bit time consuming - to be expected - but straightforward.
Working well so far. Certainly seems faster than my previous phones. Need to get an SD card but that will be simple to insert.
Good luck with yours.1 -
Thanks for that, is it a really nice shade of blue, lol. Black phones are so boring, Do you get a gel case in the pack or won’t you bother to put it in a case?I am still doing battle with Three to get all my credit refunded at the moment so I can wait a while in the hopes that Asda will get these phone’s in. I can then use my Nectar points and receive some Nectar points for buying it. Every little helps.1

Just to let you know. I got my mew Motorola G62 in the lovely ice blue from Argos this week. I used £50 of Nectar points and got 199 points back on my card so this made the phone a bargain £149:99. Transferred my Asda sim from old phone to new. By using Google to transfer everything across it was super easy as the new phone talked me through every step. I now await an RWG sim so that I will have a 2 sim phone. That will be very interesting as I don’t know how exactly to use a 2 sim phone but all will become clear eventually. I didn’t want to move my old number to RWG as only just moved it to Asda. Thanks for all the online help.0

Well done. Good for you.
Next question for me is.....I'm not using a second SIM so which SD card to put in? I'm trying to decide.
I think it takes a Micro SDXC but I'm not sure and Motorola's so-called help forum is useless. No confirmation from them at all.0 -
Some help here https://motorola-global-en-uk.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/166058/~/insert-or-remove-the-sim/sd-card---moto-g62-5g
Since it's up to 512 GB it's a Micro SDXC (don't think SDHC is used any more). One thing to note is that you can't move apps onto the SD, just data like photos or music.0 -
haha. Thanks but I've already seen that link multiple times AND Motorola also pointed me to it. The point is that the page only instructs HOW to add the card not what TYPE of card it takes!!
Glad you agree it's the SDXC. That's what I'm going to get and, yes, I know apps are only on internal memory.0
