New build estate supplied by AvantiGas (LPG tank)

Hello there. We have recently reserved a house on a new-build estate in a rural location. Central heating for all homes on the estate is LPG with a central tank being supplied under a 2-year fixed contract with AvantiGas. I believe that all householders are required to pay something like £50 p.a. for tank rental, with household usage being metered and charged thereafter.
Should I be worried about this arrangement? What happens if anyone on the estate can't / won't pay their bills? Are AvantiGas a good/reliable company to deal with?

Its a metered estate and as such you wont pay tank rental rather you will pay a charge for your meter.
There may be an umbrella agreement that you join so that the end date of the contract (lpg is 2 years) is the same for you as everyone. Or you may have your own contract. You cant shop around as your gas cant be kept separate from everyone elses so you have no choice other than to go with Avanti. Talk to the others and find out what sort of agreement they have and the pence per liter.
The entire estate can at the end of everyone's contracts switch en masse to another firm if that is what you all decide to do. Your estate will have a "designated spokesperson" so you should find out who that is.
You are an individual customer so if you don't pay your bill it wont affect anyone else.0
