In the past week I've received three notifications from MSE:

Congratulations! You've been promoted to Fantastically Fervent MoneySaving Super Fan

Congratulations! You've been promoted to MoneySaving Convert.

What do these mean please - if anything?

I've had the same, plus an additional one today for a 'Money Saving Convert'
It all seems a bit OTT.....

    Hi

    Apologies!

I've been performing a few tweaks. Removing some old features in preparation for new features. This has now been completed and you won't receive any more notifications.

We haven't displayed the old titles like "Fantastically Fervent MoneySaving Super Fan" for many years, but they were still in the background.

It was hoped that this change could be done without triggering notifications, but unfortunately it looks like that was not possible.

No need to apologise - the explanation was enough.  :) Many thanks.

In the last week I've been promoted to Fantastically Fervent MoneySaving Super Fan, then to MoneySaving Stalwart, and then to Forumite.

No offence but the latter two seem like demotions rather than promotions!

Given that I've been on here fifteen years, I'm a bit miffed that i'm now only a Forumite and not a Fantastically Fervent MoneySaving Super Fan.

    Hi @Tigsteroonie

We actually stopped using the old titles in early 2020 when we moved to our new forum software. Since then all members have been listed as “Forumite”, and that’s what has displayed under your avatar image and on your profile page since then.

The removal of the unused titles was a small background change of old titles we haven't used in a long time.

Aw, I also received the Stalwart and Convert ones.

    Was feeling quite proud, tbh!

Oh well, (imagined) glory for a few days is better than none, I guess!    :)
