  • I’ve noticed a potential issue as stated the engineer kindly swapped my meters however I’ve noticed as the meter was dead my previous reading had been noted as all 0s how are eon suppose to generate a bill

    will they just estimate? I wouldn’t be best please with this as I haven’t used the gas this month due to the warm weather

    They will estimate based on past years readings, but if the duration is short they might just bill for standing charge and not bill for the amount used as a gesture of goodwill.

  • Yes but they was wrong and generated a £20 credit didn’t reflect any usage I usually sent manual readings after the smart ones every month but with the meter being dead this time I couldn’t

  • Me too this had been a bit of a nightmare il give them a call tomorrow
  • I am finding them a nightmare to deal with. Same/similar issue to Jordan. No working gas meter (had this independently checked by another company) and they are refusing to change it. This is preventing me from being able to see my usage, leave them. Have an ombudsman complaint open which they are lying to the ombudsman on how they are dealing with me (but I am forwarding all emails to ombudsman that they claim aren't happening, being said).
