Just checking  -  do the doorbell files clearly show the VRM?
OP already stated that they didn't (I think). The point though was that OP (likely) wouldn't drive to that location with their children, leave the car there all day, walk back to get child 1 and walk back home with child 1, walk back there later for child 2 then drive home. Especially if it's a discernible distance between the 2 points.

Common sense dictates that this is a double dip scenario ... but we all know that common sense isn't very common, especially in PPC-land. 🙄
Yep exactly this. No VRM shown on the doorbell but the Nursery is about a 10 min drive from my house so it would be impossible for me to get there and back without my car in the timings of the doorbell. I thought it would be a relatively easy appeal where they would see the images, recheck the ANPR images and drop the case, how wrong I was.

I have written to their DPO email and am waiting for the SAR to come through before I start the IAS appeal. If I don't hear back in a week or so I'll just start the IAS appeal anyway with the evidence I already have. I have also written to the College where the nursery is in to see if they have CCTV of the entrance and car park to see if they can provide footage of me leaving and returning so hopefully that comes back with what I need as well.
So it seems sending my SAR to them has done the trick, as today I have received an email not from their DPO, but from their appeals department, obviously aware that it will show photos of my vehicle leaving or coming back in between the times they claim I was parked for. The email says:

    Parking Charge Notice Ref: [Removed]
    Vehicle Registration No:
    [Removed]
    Date of this Notice: 11/07/22
    Date of Parking Event: 10/06/2022

    Dear [Name Removed],

     Thank you for your correspondence.

Please be advised, upon further investigation, the above PCN has now been cancelled and your details have been removed from our system.

     Kind Regards,

     Appeals Department

     UK Car Park Management Ltd

So does this mean they still have to deal with my SAR? Do I need to do anything else?

Many thanks for all the help.

Yes they need to respond to the SAR ... their response will be that they hold no details of you or your vehicle (beyond the minimal details re. the PCN itself). They've cancelled the PCN to avoid the hard question.

    Great news!

Don't disappear just yet. We need you!

What a waste of your time this was, and intrusive on your personal life and data. It's truly horrible being pursued for £100 for no reason, by a notorious ex-clamper aggressive firm like UKCPM, we know only too well.

Join us in trying to end the conniving PPC and DRA court culture this Summer because £100 (plus the false £70 'fee' they would have disingenuously layered on next) is extortionate.

If you are not likely to pop back here every week to check, please set up email alerts for this forum and bookmark this thread (below) as we intend that one of us posts on it when the Government opens the Consultation:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6333989/mse-parking-ticket-appeals-guide-feedback#latest

    Read the latest posts there.

The PPC moneymakers have blocked the new Code with Judicial Reviews.  Stopped the declared and much welcomed parking code from February 2022, which stated that added £70 false 'DRA fee' extortion was to be banned and that parking levels would start at £50, like Council PCNs.

Together, we can stop the rotten parking industry from riding roughshod over the new statutory Code and the charge level caps, and otherwise bullying all motorists forever, using the regulation to gain kudos and status.

This Summer will be your chance to make a difference, plus any other drivers you know (family, friends) who are also fed up to the back teeth with the greedy and unscrupulous parking industry and the stranglehold they have on people.

We need high numbers of real victims to make a point of responding to this final Consultation. Please ensure that includes you!
