£32.89 spent since last post between A&C, Mr S and L!do.
This means we are over budget. We had put a £10 note in a pot for potential overage this month. We have £8.29 in said pot as of now for the rest of the month. This will hopefully stop any unnecessary spends. I can hope.
OH is having pizza tonight as he bought one reduced yesterday knowing he would be out today and not wanting to cook a proper meal when he got back.
I'm having vegan tofu mexican lasange (like enchiladas but no wraping the filling so easier) as I have wraps needing to be used; this should cover at least 3 days of dinner for me, maybe 4. Will chuck all the filling ingredients into the pressure cooker later, the OH will then help me assemble it in the dish for the oven. May even put some vegan cheese on top as I have some in the fridge needing to be used soon.
£251.71/£250.
£1.71 over.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy7 -
Went food shopping the other day and spent 39.04 in asd@ and 7.00 in homebs, some of it was not food related but still in the figures as I seem to have thrown my receipts away, it's a good job I added up as I go along and had the totals written down!!
I cooked some jacket potatoes in the sc the other day and they were fine, really pleased with the tea towel under the lid hint to stop them going soggy!

Thank you, @PipneyJane. Yes the baby seems to be on the mend, slowly. He was three months premature, although now past his due date. His mum has now been taken ill too, so can't see him for a few days. She is on the mend too. They live five hours drive away, so she can't even pop in to see these two. They have been no trouble at all so far, other than screaming when they get out of the bath! Most children scream when going in! Right off to cook pasta bake for nine people. Hugs, mumtoomany.xxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.8

Hello everyone, you can tell I’ve not been about to read and keep track for over a week as the budget is gone!If I really worked it out, there would most definitely be July budget left but as a result of going shopping yesterday for stuff this week (for august consumption) (but trying to stay within the July amount I had left!) I’ve just allocated it to Julys spend instead of reducing august. Double whammy on the pocket I guess as I had it left yet spent it and still set the budget for august as originally intended so no wins at all. But I’m vowing to be back and more accountable this coming month. Appreciate that we are fortunate enough to be able to do this but certainly not happy about it.So of my £350 this month, I’m declaring I spent the lot but I did use the budget for things which aren’t food related which if we did have another budget for those items, I’d have certainly come under.Pictures frames for example, medical supplies, plus a few other items which I can’t remember yet remember thinking at the time that they weren’t food related! All of the above for July has meant that I am going to set a £20 budget for these items monthly as this is the 2nd time I’ve been caught out but also log the spends like I see some of you do, at each shop. I don’t do this now but I think it’ll help my focus. I’m usually great at the start of the month and then it wears off towards the end!I’ll be staying a while to read on as I think I’ve a number of pages I’m yet to catch up on but I’m already on to August in my budget as we run 25-24th so will ‘see’ you thereFollow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

Head down and struggle on, opened my front door Saturday afternoon to retrieve an Amaz0n delivery, cat stood on my lawn gazing after the van, I have a greyhound, she shot past me and grabbed cat by the scruff, fight ensued, cat managed to get a few swipes in and a bite to dogs face, dog squealed dropped the cat, cat made good its escape, cleaned dog wounds and left it at that, got up Sunday a.m. dogs face swollen, contacted emergency vet, antibiotics needed, bring for an exam, 3 injections and £361 and change later, home again with instructions to see regular vet today, another £138, all on c.c.s first one gives me just short of 8 weeks to pay as just passed the month, second about 6 weeks, so nothing will be spent and a few things cancelled.Do I need it or just want it.3

Did a top-up shop today with a firm list which had to get jettisoned as various things weren't in stock at all!
I spent £2.55 at Mr T's on nuts and tomatoes and £11.05 at M*rks on f/f greek style yoghurt, 4x organic s/s milk, frozen mixed berries, wholegrain mustard, 2x radishes, carrots, lettuce and cucumber which makes my new total £48.92/£120 and my average daily spend £1.95.4 -

A few spends to report today
£77.90 in Lidl, got a coupe of YS curries for DH as me and DD were away at the weekend. Spent more as picked up some beach bits but they come from a different pot.
£6.25 strawberry picking (very expensive way to buy fruity but fun for DD)
£4.65 on milk and squash etc
£9.78 found receipt from 7 July
£7 bottle of wine
New value £411/£465
That leaves me with £54 for the month and my new month starts on Friday.
I will use this balance to do a musclefood order and stock up on protein. The freezer has a fair amount in so while I will pay this week, I will do a meal plan to time delivery sensibly.
