Transferring stuff from one Samsung phone to another

I've bought a Samsung A53 and to replace my Samsung M31.

I understand there's a Samsung app that helps transfer everything over and wondered what people's experience of it is - and what it's called!!?

(the word transferring looks weird with two Rs!!!)

Worked well for me moving from non-Samsung to A52s. Not sure if there is a particular advantage over more usual Google phone swap method when used Samsung-->Samsung. 

 Whatsapp messages will not transfer, need to backup to cloud on old phone and restore onto the new one.

If you sign into the same Google account on the new phone as you do the old one, your contacts will sync automatically and your data will live in the cloud until you download it manually (assuming you synced it to Google in the first place).  No software needed.

Whatsapp is different though - see above.

Other apps - depends.

Doesn't it tell you as you start it up? Our Moto phones talk you through connecting to the old one by Bluetooth to transfer stuff across. I've no idea how much gets transferred though.

Thanks for the comments so far. I can confirm that the Samsung Smart Switch app did a fantastic job of transferring my stuff over and using that to go from Samsung phone to Samsung phone was a lot better than going from Motorola to Samsung as I did last time using a Google backup and restore.
