TRUSTEER RAPPORT

Options

Don't know whether this is the right forum for this but here goes.

I bank with Santander and have downloaded Trusteer Rapport which worked perfectly well when I used it with Internet Explorer which is no longer supported.

I'm now having to use Microsoft Edge which is my default browser and when I try to log in a pop -up asks to me to download the Rapport software even though it is already installed along with the Edge extension.

I am not at all technical so can anyone suggest why Rapport doesn't work with Microsoft Edge?

Thanks in advance

An awful program that serves no useful purpose whatsoever and sometimes renders computers inoperable.

Says that other users have had your problem with Edge, along with some other more general issues.

You don't need Rapport, its a piece of junk that causes more problems than it claims to fix.
And you don't have to use Edge at all, you can get Chrome or Firefox or Opera...  Please don't think you have to use Edge.

I didn't think anyone still used it. I use Santander and haven't seen them push it for at least a couple of years with that annoying popup.. Other banks ditched it years ago because there is no need for it in todays banking system....

I did notice though on the Trusteer website - no Windows 11 support.  But they do list support for macOS Monterey.  Which came out three weeks after Windows 11 did.

I can't find that when I log into my banking....They used to have a large annoying popup that pushed it and that's disappeared from mine...Maybe I blocked it long ago and just forgot, but, whatever the reason, I don't see it now.
I do remember being on the verge of changing banks because of it.

It doesn't come up every time, granted.  I think it may be that if you haven't been there for a while it will pop up otherwise..
