My local Evri driver is great.
I bought something on eBay around 8pm Friday Night (19th).
The seller provided tracking number and on Monday morning, it was out for delivery between 12pm and 2pm.
    It was delivered Monday 1:22pm.

I think a lot depends on your local courier.

Where I used to live was a  rural area.

First Hermes driver was great. You could almost se the clock by- delivered 7.15 - 7.20 am  on the scheduled delivery day.

When he left next driver was hopeless. Parcel would be marked as delivered , to clear it  off his list, but he would save parcels up until he had enough to make a rural delivery worthwhile. No profit in spending 1 hour delivering one parcel.

So you never knew when your parcel would be delivered.

One parcel was left hidden behind a flower pot but no note put in the door. It was found 2 weeks later. Delivery date was confirmed by checking CCTV .

After that,  I asked companies who they used and told them I would not order  when they used Hermes. Only one company offered an alternative.

Where I now live Hermes/Evri are very good. No problems so far in two years.

  • Disgrace of a company. My parcel due last Friday never turned up. Evri parcel goes missing it seems!!!
  • And again, totally subjective.
These are individuals/drivers so consequently each will be of a different level/standard of businessman.
As for DPD - individual, so their business acumen differs with each person too.
In the area i live we have very efficient drivers, very rarely a problem and if there is a glitch, from their side, it's always sent as an advisory so you're not in limbo.

So what did/does the tracking say?
Are you the sender or recipient?
What do Evri say about your parcel?

    And again, totally subjective.

    True.
We've had the same Hermes/Evri driver for a few years.
Never had a problem, always turns up within the stated timescale.
