Hermes /Evri mis-delivered a parcel yesterday - to a neighbour - who just brought it round
Their tracking app shows the item as being in transit Totally pointless

And yet today I received a parcel originating from John Lewis on Thursday, delivered by Evri with regular updates as to its whereabouts. Absolutely no problem whatsoever.

You should be asked by Evri for feedback, I usually am. Tell them what happened. It's the driver, not Evri. Fortunately both the Evri drivers who deliver to us know us now (oh dear, that sounds like I order many things!). But if I'm not pleased (not the case so far) I'll definitely use their names. You could also complain on Evri's site. Please do, as it's better to complain to the source, then they can actually - hopefully - do something about it.

    https://www.evri.com/faqs/account/how-do-i-complain-about-one-of-your-services

You could also complain to whoever actually sent the parcel via Evri to let them know what happened with the courier they selected.

It's fine to vent here but we can't do anything. And it's not fair if customers receive different levels of service. We should all receive the same.

I think it is a postcode lottery on what driver you get. I have had great ones in my area for the last 5 years at least. They always bring parcels into the building and to the door and never leave anything outside or with neighbours.

Regarding this outfit in our area, it was awful 6/7 years ago but since then we've had a regular parcel woman and she is good.

IMO often it is down to the delivery person most of the time.

Probably just a case of their scanner went flat while on the round - they’ll manually update it later.

Re Hermes - IMO its down to the local delvery person and ours was useless years ago but then changed and now for the last 4/5 years the lady is 100%

I think Hermes has come a long way IMHO and one I could easily recommend

NB_ their at home collection for me was A! used twice this year, 100% collection and price.

Just had a delivery from Evri

Did not knock just left it on doorstep. On opening several items are missing.
Looking at the bottom of the box the brown tape has been opened and resealed with clear tape. They were presents for my granddaughter and now they are sold out.

    Why do retailers use them!!

Because they are cheap and customers don't want to pay a lot for delivery.

Well obviously but it is counterproductive a lot of people now will not order if they know evri(Hermes) are delivering.
