ISPreview.co.uk: Broadband ISP BT to Scrap Email and Cloud for New Customers.

Currently not affecting existing customers but I'd say the writing is on the wall that at some point down the line they may withdraw them totally.
Look at making alternative plans , Google has free email and storage ( currently) so start setting up accounts and migrate on your own terms

Thanks for heads up, most people learn the hard way to not use ISP provided emails. It is a good idea to redirect the emails to a free online provider such as Outlook, Yahoo, GMX, Protonmail or Gmail (last resort).
Then as you receive each email go to the site and update your email address to the one(s) you have setup.
You can setup rules to move email sent to the ISP address to a folder so that over time any email arriving in that folder needs to be changed.

Your Gmail/Yahoo/Outlook email address will suffice as a contact point for communications from your provider. There is no obligation to use everything your ISP provides, I dare say most of them still provide access to a News server for Usenet posts. Do most people know how to use it? Probably not, although its pretty much dead in the water anyway.1
