No coving like there is in the lounge.
let the wall or ceiling paint dry first and then steady hand the wall/ceiling.
NB. I guess the tape needs time and skill putting it up but worth considering IMHO.

In our four hundred year old converted mill we have used a mix of different colours on our ceilings - none of which are white 😉
In the main bathroom we have F&B Setting Plaster on the walls and continued it up onto the ceiling, whilst in our soon to be created (windowless) cloaks we'll be embracing the darkness and having Little Greene Lamp Black walls with Jewel Beetle (also LG) on the ceiling...
We don't tend to play it safe and we love dramatic interiors, lol 😆3 -

Pure brilliant white will appear as a totally different colour on each of the five walls and ceiling. Many colours will appear as nothing different to most people. It Has never raised a comment in any house I've designed or renovated in the last 12 years, unless it is a saturated colour when it appears deliberate. There is no such thing as a white ceiling. It is an utter waste of time bothering with the hassle of cutting in and changing paint if the walls are neutral.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I have mostly Egyptian cotton throughout downstairs and I love the colour I think it’s beautiful but I do think it only works on the larger rooms.I think we have natural hessian in the bathroom which is like a pale version of Egyptian cotton.1

I always paint ceilings white as I suspect it reflects light better but a friend painted a large bedroom including the ceiling a canary yellow which looked really good and my mother painted her bathroom including the ceiling in a blue similar to the banner colour at the top of each post on here which looked very good and surprisingly modern for her.I once had to paint a really nice Victorian breakfast room where the ceiling and walls down to the coving had been painted dark grey, that wasn't nice.1

It does look very light on the tin.
Good bunch of EC bathroom paint reviews here on Wickes.

I do not know why, but a room just does not look right if you paint the ceiling the same colour as the walls in my view. My best guess is that it provides a design feature which people traditionally expect in a residential building in the UK. Continental Europe does not have the same tradition, especially in those parts which have very hot climates where walls and ceilings are traditionally painted white.
Some people opt for painting the ceiling the same colour as the walls as the junction between the ceiling and the wall is very difficult to cut in evenly when two colours are used, but I think the extra time it takes is worthwhile.1 -
I've seen non white ceilings in very kitsch sort of interiors but certainly never in a bathroom - I suspect it would just look more like a dirty white ceiling in a bathroom. Especially with beige walls.
Would get yourself some supermatt and paint it white.0 -

I’ll soon be painting my bathroom (2.7 x 1.7) with a light Dulux Egyptian Cotton soft sheen bathroom paint. The newly plastered walls have a couple of white mist coats applied.
I have some Zinsser Gardz sealer that I’ll apply before the Dulux but not sure if the ceiling is better in white like the other rooms.
I suppose the paint is quite light anyway.
Any help appreciated.1
