Currys bundle deals ripoff

Options
Not sure if anyone else has had this issue but I bought a tablet and cover saving within the bundle a massive 99p. Curry's dropped the price within 7 days of purchase by £89.00. New sale price £239.00. Bought for £328.00.
I therefore contacted them and was promptly told they do not price match the bundles.
Firstly being told that the cover was £151 but I corrected the assistant as it sells on their own website for £39.99.
I complained as nothing on website saying they don't match their own bundles. Nothing on the page when I was buying it saying this.
I stuck to my guns on this and they haev submitted a price match form but I do not hold my breathe. Not sue if I can take this further but any advice would be helpful as I am thinking of taking this to the retail ombudsman if they reject. I have all screen prints receipts and a print of the t&cs too.

Thanks, OP. My understanding was a  bundle or no bundle they would honour the price match.

At times talking to one person you may got the wrong asnwer as they are new or not so good at their job
See how it goes and if you need to, demand to speak with their manager.

If you dont get the money back which I doubt, tell them to direct you to the info re bundles and if ture tell them to make it clear and not hide it. IE very small print.

Their pricematch states that if you see a lower price elsewhere....  This example is not 'elsewhere' it's with Currys so the pricematch promise doesn't apply.
  • No. You will find that they also price match own predicts if they drop the price within 7 days. If this hadn't been a bundle they would have down it apparently. So the question is why not the bundle...
  • Products not predicts. Sorry

    Website price promise states

Cannot be used with any other offer.

A bundle may be considered another offer.

Their T&Cs strictly say they dont... obviously they are free to go beyond their T&Cs if they want to but they can also say no if they want to.
  • So really what we are saying is don't buy bundles as if I have bought separately I would be able to price match the tablet alone and have been refunded £50.
Its madness. I might return it and rebuy it at the lower price. I was going to buy another for my mam so they can keep in touch as both in separate care homes. But won't be buying from Curry's again as although it states and might be considered another deal, it's the same deal that they have reduced and I think they know this and are trying to wriggle out of it.
If this was say John Lewis, they would have sorted straight away. Lesson learnt I would think

    I wouldn't count on it.
Either way, you was happy with the price you paid originally.

A bit sly but I think this may be it from your link

    • On the product page, you should see a ‘Price promise’ link just below below the 'Add to basket' button.

    • If available, you should see a comparison between Currys and our competitors’ product and delivery prices. If you can’t see it, the product may only be available at Currys.
