Lounge Pass - Flight Cancelled

Hello,

My flight was cancelled during check in by mobile, i had a booking in the Gatwick airport lounge for 4 people, however obviously i was unable to make this due to the cancellation of the flight. I tried canceling but it was too late.

Would i be able to claim this back with the airline that cancelled as part of my compensation/expenses claim?

Unlikely... compensation is fixed under the law given it was within 24 hours and reimbursement of expenses if fixed to only certain heads of claim and that doesn't included airport lounges. Most will contractually exclude consequential losses too. Ultimately you can give it a go but dont hold your breath

Agree unlikely… consequential losses following a short notice flight cancellation might be sometime you can claim via your own travel insurance. Any excess on the policy might however  mean it not worth it for small sums.

Some lounges allow you to change the booking to another date within the year .
