Odd sign. No parking firm mentioned.
"The Superior car park was previously called the Short Stay car park, but now operates as a pre-booked-only facility.
A spokesperson for Southend Airport issued guidance after hearing of customers' concerns raised by visitors to the newly-branded Superior car park after fresh signs were put up.
Customers also questioned what disabled and wheelchair users should do amid an expensive toll for those taking more than ten minutes to drop off."
0-10 minutes £25!!
Any longer…£80!!!
Whaaat?
Used to be £8 in March and that caused more than enough anger:
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The £25 is to deter use of the short stay car park for those who haven't pre booked, calling it 'Superior' shows the management to be up their own backsides - its a car park, not a suite in the Ritz. IIRC Leeds Bradford free drop off has a charge of £40 an hour after the first hour.
Southend has is an £8 drop off option, ANPR and pay after exit, Of course the airport has byelaws, so whether to pay the £8 is down to the driver.4 -

Parking companies are there to make money, cancer patients and disabled people are easy targets to increase profits at a site.
From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"3 -
With the 'Blue Badge on Double Yellows Scam' being particularly lucrative especially outside hospital departments which deal with both challenging treatment programs and high dependency.

The council said visitors appear to have had spent less time and money in the resorts, with parking income 7% lower than predicted.
