The £25 is to deter use of the short stay car park for those who haven't pre booked, calling it 'Superior' shows the management to be up their own backsides - its a car park, not a suite in the Ritz. IIRC Leeds Bradford free drop off has a charge of £40 an hour after the first hour.

Southend has is an £8 drop off option, ANPR and pay after exit, Of course the airport has byelaws, so whether to pay the £8 is down to the driver.

Parking companies are there to make money, cancer patients and disabled people are easy targets to increase profits at a site.

Income from parking charges has been lower than expected, despite strong visitor numbers during the hot summer, Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council figures show.

The council said visitors appear to have had spent less time and money in the resorts, with parking income 7% lower than predicted.
