Just been told by glassdoor that I’m a “good fit” for this job: “Fault Management - CCTV/Mobile Data/ANPR” at Creative Car Park Ltd.

One interesting thing they ask for is an interest in Photoshop…. Why on earth would a parking company be looking to employ somebody who was skilled in manipulating photographic images?7 -
Additionally, Creative Car Park Ltd are not members of the BPA's AOS scheme so why are they processing the motorist's data?5
-
And that's despite saying on their website that they're BPA AOS members. (They're also not IPC AOS members).Jenni x4

Sussex notorious ex-wheelclamping PPC pariahs One Parking Solution (aka 'One Language Solution'?) and the lack of Welsh language on signs and PCNs is a gift that keeps on giving:
Language campaigner due back in court after parking company fails to provide fine in Welsh
https://www.cambrian-news.co.uk/news/courts/language-campaigner-due-back-in-court-after-parking-company-fails-to-provide-fine-in-welsh-629681Hope he gets awarded full costs.
This is interesting:
"In a similar case in Caernarfon recently, judge Mervyn Jones-Evans gave a verdict in favour of a defendant who refused to pay a parking fine that was served only in English, as monolingual notices are not sufficient to conform with schedule 4 of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012. The judge also declared a judicial notice that signs in every car park in Wales should be bilingual."
Good old DJ Jones-Evans at Caernarfon, who I am pretty sure (if it's the same Judge) used to strike cases out without a hearing due to abuse of process before some 'parking scam clueless' Circuit Judges who proved overly impressed by PPC legals talking crap at them on Appeal, stamped on that remedy.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yay, at last Excel have been kicked off the notorious Berkeley Centre. There must be a few ongoing claims on this forum. I hope that they read this. There is also that other hot spot in Sheffield, Broomhill where a forum member has recently won their case against Excel. I know that they have got the airport business but they are losing business on these smaller car parks.
Sheffield MP Clive Betts has urged government to “get a move on”. The department for levelling up said it hoped to launch new consultation before Parliament’s summer recess.

The August edition of Parking News has an article saying that ParkingEye and DCB have teamed up under a 3 year arrangement for DCB to add 'silly money' (that wasn't on the signs) and chase unpaid ParkingEye PCNs:
https://www.britishparking.co.uk/parking-news
https://portfolio.cpl.co.uk/Parking-News/432/24/It also mentions on another page, that a new interim BPA CoP is effective yesterday, where they've cherry-picked what they can stomach from the new (stalled by their members) DLUHC CoP - and they say they are giving their members SIX MONTHS to comply even with those tweaks (whatever they are). And Kelvin Reynolds usual ranty comedy piece at the end is laughable as usual but does include a link to the Kent Country Parks case where the Ombudsman's final decision has changed a little:
https://www.lgo.org.uk/assets/attach/4521/REPORT-17004169-KENT-CC.pdf
Now says that Councils can operate parks under contract law but still not not under POFA.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

This one doesn't even make sense because the reporter wrongly says the parking firm is DCB Legal:
https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/cars/motornews/23691672.amp/
Hopeless comments from clueless people except the first comment.
Of course he will win, easily, because DCBLegal will discontinue the claim unless they decide to make an example of him pour encourager les autres, now that he has totally identified himself snd publicised it.
Would have been so easy to win...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

And the BPA must be so proud of this one:
https://www.dorset.live/news/dorset-news/parking-ticket-weymouth-warning-fine-8648713"An elderly man who paid £1 for his parking received a £100 Parking Charge Notice just days later. Peter Wills, aged 87, made a routine trip to Weymouth town centre where he parked at St Nicholas Street car park...Peter typed in his Nissan’s vehicle registration number into the ticket payment machine and paid £1 for an hour’s parking.
The retired repairman left the Euro Car Parks managed site - he had paid for parking and left before his hour was up - but was left “confused and bewildered” when he received a £100 Parking Charge Notice a week later.
Peter kept his original parking ticket to prove he did in fact pay for his parking. Angered by the Parking Charge Notice, Peter’s family believe that a printing error may have caused Peter to receive the Parking Charge Notice. Only the last three letters of his vehicle registration appeared on the display ticket, when the full registration is usually printed on the ticket."
Apparently they "are looking on Facebook trying to find an answer"...
...oh dear. Why do people think Faceache is the answer?! Just GOOGLE IT and come here!
But for the love of GOD why hasn't the BPA included the 'keying errors' update in its new August CoP?
Come on BPA, stop letting your members use faulty keypads to fine innocent people. Even if mistakes are sometimes the error of the driver it ISN'T A FAIR PENALTY so - just clear off.
