One interesting thing they ask for is an interest in Photoshop…. Why on earth would a parking company be looking to employ somebody who was skilled in manipulating photographic images?

Additionally, Creative Car Park Ltd are not members of the BPA's AOS scheme so why are they processing the motorist's data?

"In a similar case in Caernarfon recently, judge Mervyn Jones-Evans gave a verdict in favour of a defendant who refused to pay a parking fine that was served only in English, as monolingual notices are not sufficient to conform with schedule 4 of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012. The judge also declared a judicial notice that signs in every car park in Wales should be bilingual."

Good old DJ Jones-Evans at Caernarfon, who I am pretty sure (if it's the same Judge) used to strike cases out without a hearing due to abuse of process before some 'parking scam clueless' Circuit Judges who proved overly impressed by PPC legals talking crap at them on Appeal, stamped on that remedy.

This is the same chambers as Nicolas Bowen KC is based. He is the barrister that was taken to court by Parking Eye. The hearing became very costly for PE.

Yay, at last Excel have been kicked off the notorious Berkeley Centre.  There must be a few ongoing claims on this forum. I hope that they read this. There is also that other hot spot in Sheffield, Broomhill where a forum member has recently won their case against Excel. I know that they have got the airport business but they are losing business on these smaller car parks.  

Sheffield MP Clive Betts has urged government to “get a move on”. The department for levelling up said it hoped to launch new consultation before Parliament’s summer recess.

The August edition of Parking News has an article saying that ParkingEye and DCB have teamed up under a 3 year arrangement for DCB to add 'silly money' (that wasn't on the signs) and chase unpaid ParkingEye PCNs:

It also mentions on another page, that a new interim BPA CoP is effective yesterday, where they've cherry-picked what they can stomach from the new (stalled by their members) DLUHC CoP - and they say they are giving their members SIX MONTHS to comply even with those tweaks (whatever they are).

And Kelvin Reynolds usual ranty comedy piece at the end is laughable as usual but does include a link to the Kent Country Parks case where the Ombudsman's final decision has changed a little:

Come on BPA, stop letting your members use faulty keypads to fine innocent people.  Even if mistakes are sometimes the error of the driver it ISN'T A FAIR PENALTY so - just clear off.
