TUI offering alt flights, can we still claim comp even if we fly?

Hi All

So we were due to fly to Antalya with TUI tomorrow but they have cancelled our flight and offered an alternative for 3 days later. My question is are we still eligible for compensation even if we still fly as it could technically count as a delay?

Sounds like a cancellation 

Was there already a flight scheduled for 3 days time?
If so, if your flight was ‘delayed’ it would be an additional flight on that day

Yes then I guess it's a cancellation, the flight 3 days later was already scheduled as a standard flight.

Does this mean we could claim cancellation compensation even if we still fly?

The right to compensation is separate from the right to reimbursement or rerouting, so yes, it is permissible to claim compensation for a cancellation as well as accepting replacement flights, as long as the cancellation isn't caused by exceptional circumstances beyond the airline's control.
