Over 50

I have just joined this website and I’m finding it extremely interesting to read.

There’s a post “over 60”, and people have explained some savings.

Is there anything out there for the full time employed over 50s because I’d love to save a couple of pounds each week shopping, even if it was put on a loyalty card for Christmas.

Thank you for reading this

I didn’t think there was, but no harm in looking. Thank you for the reply

  • If you are in Scotland there is a rail discount scheme. It also has offers on days out etc https://www.scotrail.co.uk/tickets/club-50
  • As a person in their 50s now I came here to ask this exact question. Sad to see there doesn’t seem to be much around, though I will check out the 2006 thread!

Nope! Doesn't seem to be a lot around for working over 50s . Plenty for over 50s on benefits though.

Ours calls it Silver Screen, on Tuesday mornings, but there's no age limit.

For the OP, it is worth noting that if you just hang on until you're 60, most cinemas and theatres offer a reduced price then. And if you're not too insulted, it may be offered to you before you reach that exalted age ...

I think Silver Screen might be something different- like old / classic films.

Senior screen is current films at a reduced rate (plus drink & biscuit)
