Long time iPhone user but Android convert. If it matters which Android then we're in the Samsung Galaxy range.
A feature I liked but thankfully never had to have used on my iPhone was the Medical ID. If I'm KO'd on the pavement all by myself then providing people are in the know they could pull emergency info from my phone even with it being locked.
I'll assume Android has an equivalent built in feature? I'm just looking to see how do you do that and also whether it's the best option on an Android or is there a better third party alternative maybe?
So that emergency info can be pulled even with the phone being locked.

Samsung might have something specific to their software but the standard way to edit your emergency info for an Android phone is to go to settings and under System select About Phone and there should be a section called Emergency Information where you can add your contacts and any medical info you may need to.1

On this Samsung A52s - Settings, Safety and Emergency
Can enter medical data and choose contacts, which can be accessed even if the phone is locked.2 -

This is what Google has to say about this general topic.Jenni x1 -
The same thing is available on Android. I installed it but removed it again after a couple of weeks. Despite the phone being locked when in my pocket I had several instances of the emergency number being dialled and receiving texts from the emergency services.

That feature can be disabled while leaving the other options, including lock screen emergency information, working.0 -
Thanks k_man. I may give it another try on that basis.

Is this an option in Miui 12.5.4? I can't find it on my Redmi Note 9.

(I can only find one option that allows me to put details on the lock screen - it is not as per the Google link I posted earlier).Jenni x0 -

There's a setting along the lines of accidental touch or whatever that I think is supposed to stop all that or reduce it at least.
Many a time I'll take my phone out of my pocket and see a row of numbers that's in the dialer. Not only that but the phone will just unlock and do random things.
The other day it unlocked, went in to my text messages, opened a chat with someone and had typed out a load of gibberish (just a random keyboard smash). Thankfully it hadn't sent it.
Very annoying when it happens.0 -
What type of screen lock do you have set?
And do you lock before putting in your pocket?
There is a serious security concern if your mobile unlocks like that.0
