Roast potatoes-one of lifes simple pleasures-how CAN you eat frozen ones!!:D
Oh I totally agree - can't beat homemade roasties in goose fat, even when I lived alone the only frozen veg I used were peas!

Roasties are so easy, and if you spend just a little extra time to parboil and bash them up then they are heavenly. It doesn't take very long and I find cooking quite theraputic so I enjoy the prep - you can even peel and chop them the night before if you want to! Mine will be done from scratch once again this year, apart from anything else don't think hubby would be very happy with frozen ones...mine are delish and he loves them, he's looking forward to them already LOL

What about the washing and peeling them????

If you're eating them on your own, then there's no other option but to peel them yourself. BUT ..... if others are getting their knees under your table, pass them the peeler and say how many you need!

When they've finished, you can reward them with a sherry, just nice time before dinner.

I have to agree that the Morrisons Best beef dripping roast potatoes are absolutely fabulous - everyone enjoyed them last Sunday (a trial run for Christmas lunch) so I know what we'll be buying fo the real thing!
