  • i find the cheepest frozen roast pots then drizzle a little veg oil and they crisp up a treat in an oven (same goes for oven chips)
    Finally debt free, all thanks to this site and all the posters:j

    try Bisto roasties I love them, also tried asda extra special parsnips today they where yummy
  • Can you tell me which store sells the Aunt Bessies parsnips ?? Looked at the Tesco site and couldnt find them :confused:

    Love the Aunt bessies roast potatoes :j and yorkshire puds ! makes Cooking Christmas dinner so much easier :T

    Parsnips.....Sainsburys have them £1.69 each or 2 for £3

    Tesco Finest roast spuds are indeed yummy!!

    Much much better than aunt bessies, Tescos will be gracing my table on Xmas day they are the best.

    Well I have AB parsnips on offer @ £1 in Tesco & the Tesco roasties, £1.50 to sample today so I'll let you know how they fare later.
  • I am voting for Asda ES potatoes and parsnips - both excellent and could be home made. It's true that Delia's recipes are fab, but on Christmas day I feel it is time to be together, not basting and oven watching :rotfl:.
    Plus the roasted roots recipe works really well, but you have to cut the veg into specific sizes as they all cook at different rates.

    The parsnips went down a storm but the roasties didn't rate so well, IMHO.
