The parsnips went down a storm but the roasties didn't rate so well, IMHO.
So it's parsnips from mr T and roasties from auntie B at Morrisons!!
Yes I use frozen on xmas day so I can spend max time with family, that's what they remember in years to come time together!
Thanks all keep the ideas flowing. What about the best turkey/gammon etc?0 -
Went to Sainsburys today and got my Aunt B parsnips and Aunt B extra cripsy roasties :j was shocked how quiet it was compared to Tesco where i just had a order from and they didnt have any Aunt B roasties

I agree with what you are trying to say , but ... when you live alone and have not only to work but also then do all the household tasks yourself, time-saving products like this can be a "necessary evil".
PS. I cannot comment on the parsnips, but Aunt Bessie's roast poatoes get my vote. They are currently down from £1.69 to just £1.00 at ASDA, so I have a couple of extra bags in the freezer for when they go back up again. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -

Yes,agree that could be timesaving.,but anymore than one person, really roasted potatoes are so easy, virtually no effort.Stick em in oven, turn them once.0 -

What about the washing and peeling them????0 -
for two for example thats about four small tatties-i dont bother to wash them,as you peel the skin off anyway.,just rinse them under a tap. takes about 2 mins.0
