Sent a package by accident, multiple failed collections

Hello, I hope someone here knows what to do, any help is greatly appreciated. Basically, I ordered a weight for a hanging parasol through Wilkos on 07th May for home delivery which was fulfilled by expressco. On the 10th May a motorised golf buggy was delivered. Obviously this was not what we ordered so I contacted Wilkos and fair play to them they sent out our actual order with no issues.
The issue is the golf buggy. They have arranged for collection four times with no success. The first two times were with Yodel who just didn’t turn up. The third and fourth times were with XDP who didn’t collect due to ‘technical issues.’ I understand this isn’t Wilkos or Expressco’s fault but each collection is an all day affair and I’ve had to sit at home for four days.

I submitted a formal complaint today and they’ve apologised and promised to investigate, but it still doesn’t change the fact that I’ve got a package partially blocking my front door and causing a fire hazard as there is nowhere else I can put the dang thing as it’s a very bulky package.
What can I do now please? Should I demand compensation? Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

You can't 'demand' compensation, but you could certainly ask for a goodwill gesture. You may get lucky.2

Send Wilko a letter saying that if they don't collect it within 7 days you will advertise it for sale and they are welcome to contact you for the proceeds minus your reasonable costs. It might stimulate some urgency.
How is it a fire risk? If you're in a block of flats and it's blocking a labelled fire escape route then you need to move it somewhere.3 -
Thank you 😊Deleted_User said:You can't 'demand' compensation, but you could certainly ask for a goodwill gesture. You may get lucky.0 -
Thanks for the advice. I live in my own house but we haven’t long moved. The box is GIGANTIC and the only place we can put it that’s not outside is next to the front door so we have to move it every time we want to use the front door. The only people at risk are me and my husband.Aylesbury_Duck said:Send Wilko a letter saying that if they don't collect it within 7 days you will advertise it for sale and they are welcome to contact you for the proceeds minus your reasonable costs. It doesn't really count as a fire risk, then, just an inconvenience. Add to the letter that you have nowhere secure you are able to store it. Again, it might stimulate some action if they think it's at risk of being stolen, or damaged because you have to keep moving it in and out of the house to be able to access your front door.0

It's more than just an inconvenience if it's preventing safe and rapid exit from the building if there was a fire.Aylesbury_Duck said:It doesn't really count as a fire risk, then, just an inconvenience. In which case, don't store it there. I know OP retains responsibility for it whilst it's in her possession but if doing so poses a genuine fire risk it needs to be put outside.Ergates said:

Is it a motorised golf buggy or is it a motorised golf trolley?
I can't imagine getting a buggy through anybody's front door...0 -
I was also wondering that.Manxman_in_exile said:Is it a motorised golf buggy or is it a motorised golf trolley?

If it's a buggy then surely that would provide the OP with a speedy getaway from a house fire?1 -
Sorry 😂 you are correct it’s a golf trolley. Can you tell I was stressed when I wrote this?Manxman_in_exile said:Is it a motorised golf buggy or is it a motorised golf trolley?
