Easyjet flight Edinburgh to Nice

Thought it might be helpful to post about our flights with Easyjet given the headlines.....

We were very jittery to read about lots of flight cancellations prior to our holiday last week but glad to report that although we were delayed (3 hours going and 2 hours coming  back) at least it wasn't cancelled.  Unfortunately both our flights were evening flights to start with, so we didn't land until midnight (luckily got the very last tram into town or taxi would have been expensive!) and coming back Edinburgh Airport buses are infrequent after 1am but it wasn't the end of the world and got home at 2am.

Unless the outbound delay was caused by exceptional circumstances beyond EasyJet's control, you're entitled to compensation if the doors were opened at least three hours after scheduled arrival time....

 Just checked out Easyjet's webside and you are absolutely correct!  We could have claimed vouchers for food or possible expenditure of taxi if we'd missed that last tram but we would need to show receipt.  Lessons learned for when we return in October!
