Hello ...me and my wife were due to fly from tenerife last friday 10/06/22 at nine oclock after a two hour delay we finally got off the ground flying to Birmingham,  however half an hour into the flight to our horror there was a problem with cabin pressure and had to return to tenerife,  we were put up in temporary accommodation and picked up by coach the following day taken to the airport ,we flew back to Birmingham safely and arrived 18 hours later than scheduled jet2 paid fof accommodation and coach and gave us 16€ vouchers to spend in the airport ..would we be eligible for any compensation

Glad that safety was priority #1 and that you eventually got home safe.

Sounds like a 'extra-ordinary' delay reason with a cabin depressurisation problem.  If so no compensation but just the duty of care which you appear to have received.  No harm however in following the Jet2 claim process if you think otherwise. I expect flight delay claim details on their website.

Thank you ..I did a bit of digging and found that mechanical issues with aircraft is no longer classed as extra ordinary unless it's a hidden manufacturers fault .or sabotage 
Maybe I'll do a bit more homework and then as you say go through jet2's  claim procedures
