Another gmail web user - no need for an email client (that would just be another thing I would have to waste time on organising).
Other than if you organise it in one it mirrors the organisation in all
I see how much effort I put into organising my work email using the outlook client. Everything is sorted and stored in the right place (and I still can't find anything).

I am not going through that with my personal email which is mostly spam and offers to purchase performance enhancing drugs.
Then that's equally fine, if you dont want to organise your personal email then all your email clients would be equally disorganised.

The point was irrespective if you use Gmail.com/ another webmail site or an email client using IMAP etc then the level of organisation will replicate across all devices automatically... gone are the days of using POP3 where if you spend 2 hours cleaning up your laptop's email that it remains in a total mess on your desktop/mobile etc.

Thunderbird on my PC and K9 Mail on my Android phone
me too, I have emails with different providers and would prefer that Google, Microsoft et cetera don't have access to all of them. I also run multiple aliases on several accounts and these two can deal with different from addresses and signatures on the same accounts without difficulty. Also it gives me a local copy of the emails in addition to the server ones and proper IMAP access.
