Good morning, I would be grateful for some guidance please.my elderly mother had a boiler fitted by an unregistered engineer. He showed her an old card. Gassafe shut the boiler down as it was unsafe. She had to get another company to put the work right. I took the engineer to court to claim the money back for rectifying…

Op, I would look at this 2 ways:
1. The fees your mum paid, I would sadly write them off as irrecoverable.
2. I would however report them to trading standards/gas safe. Take screen shots of their adverts / website as the next victim could loose more than just money.
Should you get any money back then see that as a nice bonus.
