  • I've used the Zinsser All-Coat too and been very satisfied with it. It's certainly lasting better than the Dulux Weathershield the decorator used.

    I think another poster mentioned the All-Coat was gloss. It's worth being aware that there is also a satin version. I've used both, and found both satisfactory, so choose whichever you prefer. The satin is a little easier to get a decent looking finish with: water-based gloss can be difficult to get a good smooth result with in my experience, so I tend to go with satin these days..

    They have gloss, satin and a matt version.

    I know what you mean wrt water based gloss. But Allcoat Exterior WB gloss is actually pretty good, more than good enough for outside use IMO

    Oh, it's decent stuff alright! I just didn't want the OP to assume All-Coat = gloss if that wasn't the finish they preferred. :smile:
