    That’s amazing news - you must be over the moon! It gives you an amazing opportunity for a fresh start. It must be a great feeling not having to worry about juggling money around your credit cards etc. to make your monthly payments for each of the debts.

    Oh it’s not a cheat code! It’s a rational, considered, logical, right for you, decision. 

    I had something similar when I finally got some of the monies from the house I had helped my nasty Ex do up (less than half the equity, but hey … 🤷‍♀️). That cleared what was left of my debts (at the time! 🙄😉) and became the seed of our first house deposit … 😊

    I recognise that odd feeling of deflation, ‘cheating’, what-do-I-do-now-ness … 😉 It passes, you will adapt and what you will find, as others have said is that you have a whole piece of spare mental capacity to do what you want to do, which will be useful for your new working from home contract and your blog 😊

    So very, very pleased for you 😊🤩🥳🎉🎊

    - When bought house £315,995 mortgage debt and end date at start = October 2039 - now £233,521
    - OPs to mortgage = £11,816 Interest saved £5,28 to date
    Fixed rate 3.85% ends January 2030
