All along this has looked like a VRM misread by less than reliable ANPR crapology. No wonder the Govt banned local authorities from using it for monitoring and enforcement of council car parks.rthirlby said:To update on this we contacted the DPO at MET as per the post above from Fruitcakeand included the police crime number and the PCN has been cancelled.
Thank you all for your help. 😁Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I don't how litigious MET are. I think if they come up against someone who knows what they are talking about then they tend to bottle it and bin it off without question. A good result nonetheless.Umkomaas said:

I don't think I've seen many (any?) MET court cases.95Rollers said:

My friend recently got one of their postal ANPR PCN's for visiting McDonalds twice in a day and I managed to bat if off by telling them they had failed to follow the BPA guidelines around double dips and jumped the gun and without cause obtained his Data from the DVLA under false pretences and they will face legal action if they don't delete the keeper data and cease & desist which we would perceive as harassment and an attempt to demand money with menaces. 3 days - PCN cancelled. Its like they know what they are doing is wrong, but still do and will skulk off if they are caught out whereas other PPCs will keep pushing and piling on pressure/ bullying all the way to court, whereas these guys seem to know when their scam is up and keep things moving...Umkomaas said:
