p&o refund on cruise booked within 14 days

I only looked at the terms if cancelled 90 days prior to leaving on cruise .stating full refund .I cancelled within few days of booking as my wife could not sort holidays to suit .Clerical error on my part regarding dates

Xmas 2022?   We've not had that yet?   Do you mean booked at Xmas 2021, or do you mean booked *for* Xmas 2022?

book cruise on may 21st 2022 for xmas dec 17th 2022 cancelled on may 23 rd due to date error

The Guest has the right to cancel the Contract prior to commencement of the Package without paying any cancellation charge in the event of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances (as defined in clause 1) significantly affecting the performance of the Contract. In such circumstances the Guest shall be entitled to a full refund of all monies paid, but shall not be entitled to additional compensation.

that’s is the only way I can see that you wouldn’t lose your deposit, but not being able to get time off isn’t covered in clause 1


you could call them and ask them if you could change dates, although as it’s now a month down the line I expect there would be a fee for that

The OP mentions cancelling within 14 days so may think distance selling rules apply.  I don't think they apply to holidays and similar bookings, but could be wrong.

A deposit that you can get back under any circumstances isn't really a deposit at all!
