Flight cancelled, no notice

Options
I booked a package holiday with Easyjet Holidays. Without notice they cancelled my 10.30am return flight and rebooked me on one leaving 10 hours earlier meaning I  have to check out of my hotel the day before,  arrive at the airport when nothing is open and pay for a taxi to get home in the wee hours as no trains are running. I can only see information about compensation for delayed arrival but surely I should be entitled to compensation for loss of a day's holiday? I am travelling with my 4 year old so would never have booked a flight leaving at 00:05. I can't get through to anyone at Easyjet Holidays by phone.  No one is picking up. Surely this is not allowed? Please help.

    What a nightmare!!

Easyjet Holidays T&Cs define a flight change within 12 hours of the original one as a MINOR change ..and it’s still departing on the same day as the original flight (albeit at the ungodly time of 00:05am ) .

However as they are providing  1 less night at your accommodation - this part I would argue is a SIGNIFICANT change and accordingly to the T &Cs 6.2 they should be giving you the option to

    a) Accept the proposed change.  If this results in a Package of lower quality or cost, you may be entitled to a price reduction ( as you will stay1 less night in your hotel )

    (b) reject the proposed change and terminate your Package with a full refund; or
    (c) reject the proposed change, terminate your Package and take an alternative one if EJ decide to offer this.

Do you literally mean that this is happening at no notice, i.e. you're on the holiday at the moment and due to fly back tomorrow, or did you mean without notification, i.e. you found out about this (future) change before departure but without them telling you?
