It is just really frustrating and worrying that people threaten with police and legal action.I really can’t be arsed with the stress of it all.1

Anyone who threatens the police in this situation clearly doesn’t have a scooby. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
I really can’t do with the stress of any of this!0

Tell them to return it and I bet you they'll ask for a doscountAna_M said:I really can’t do with the stress of any of this!0 -
Block them. Block them on Facebook, on your phone, email or anything else that they use to contact you.If they want to contact you, they can write. If it's not an actual court summons, file it away and then ignore it.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.3 -
Easier said than done for some people. Some worry more than others and OP is like that as am I, but thanks I agree.Ectophile said:Block them. Sadly plenty of people threaten to call the Police over things that are obviously not Police matters.elsien said:Anyone who threatens the police in this situation clearly doesn’t have a scooby.
Had someone threaten to call the Police on me just this week for telling her "Maybe you should put your [expletive] dog on a lead" after her little rat spent over a minute chasing, barking at and lunging after my large dog (on the lead) with her making, at best, a token effort to get it under control. A token effort being saying its name and casually walking after it.
Why she thinks the Police would be interested, I have no idea, but her take is sadly not uncommon.
It's shame they're not prosecuted for wasting Police time, but I think the Police have their hands full threatening people who say mean things on Twitter like "Women don't have penises."4 -
Caveat emptorI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0

The police aren't going to get involved over a sofa you sold on Facebook so stop worrying. Nothing you can do now but learn from the experience. Next time make sure they view first if you can but keep the advert as a screenshot or just edit as Sold then turn off comments.0
