As above, your claim will be with Royal mail and you are far too early to start a claim for loss yet, the parcel will sit in a delivery office waiting to have a silver (@custardy is it silver or red for unpaid postage?) card made up, Post person will leave that card with recipient and they can either pay and claim from you or refuse package.1
