It's taxed until the ownership changes, so it'll become untaxed with no notice.
The bigger problem with insurance is that until you get the V5 you aren't and don't know the registered keeper and I can't see many insurers allowing that.0 -

Probably when the insurer surrenders the V5 the car becomes a Ronin.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
