Missed connection due to airline delay - any compensation?

Hi all,
I would really appreciate some guidance regarding our compensation claim with Lufthansa flying from Turkey IST to UK LHR (via Germany FRA). This journey was made with 3 young children. Lufthansa rep advised me to put in a claim for the delays, but recommended that I include the amount of compensation I am entitled to (this is were I am struggling).
I have provided a summary of my journey below which included a transit flight via FRA. Both parts of the journey were delayed due to airlines fault. So am I correct in assuming I would be entitled to two individual claims for each flight? Or would this be only one claim for the entire journey?
Summary of journey:
Airline: Lufthansa
Flight 1) IST to FRA (Sunday 05/06/22, Sch dep 14:00 IST. arrival 16:05 FRA). Flight left 17:26 (Flight crew were late), arrived 19:44 FRA. (3H39min late).
Flight 2) FRA to LHR (Sunday 05/06/22, Sch dep 17:00, arrival 17:40 LHR). As flight arrived 19:44, we missed this connection. Airline booked us onto 3 standby flights (9:30PM 5/6/22 / 9AM 6/6/22 and 10am 6/6/22) but were not able to offer us any seats due to overbooking. They also advised all flights for 6/6/22 were fully booked.
After the 3rd standby flight attempt, I requested a flight with a different airline the following day which did have seats available (my children couldn't handle the disappointment any further of running from one gate to another only to be told no space available). We did not return to UK until 11:45 07/06/22.
Flight 1: Compensation for flight 1 seems pretty straightforward. Distance from IST to FRA is around 1900km and delay was over 3hrs. So 400 Euro (£340) per person?
Flight 2: This is were I am struggling. Am I entitled to a separate claim for the missed connection flight? If so, how much would this be?
I calculated the distance from FRA to LHR to be 653km, however I am unable to find any guidance online regarding missed transit flights.

It was presumably one ticket and so your scheduled arrival at LHR from IST was 17:40 on 5/6 but your actual arrival at LHR was 11:45 7/8. The compensation for delay is for the delay at your final destination (LHR) not for delays in intermediary connecting locations.
As such the €400 would cover the total delay of getting you back to the UK. See https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/flight-delays/ about connecting flights.1 -
The EU interpretative guidelines define the above point about connecting flights:
4.4.7. Compensation for late arrival in the case of connecting flights
The Court takes the view that a delay must be assessed for the purposes of the compensation provided for in Article 7 of the Regulation, in relation to the scheduled time of arrival at the passenger's final destination as defined in Article 2(h) of the Regulation, which in the case of directly connecting flights must be understood as the destination of the last flight taken by the passenger.
